This project involved collaboration between multiple schools in the HDSB in order to develop more experiential and action-based activities (including an authentic final task) for students in the Grade 11 environmental science course.

Learning Beyond the Brick Walls
This project was undertaken to explore nature and to increase our knowledge and use of the outdoors and our local conservation area with our FDK program. We wanted to implement changes to the physical space and gather outdoor teaching resources.

Traditional Algonquin Knowledge and Wellness for Newcomers and Their Teachers
Our project focused on how teachers of Adult ESL courses can integrate traditional knowledge and realities of Anishinabeg (Algonquin) on whose territory they teach. This focus on wellness was applied to curriculum that meets MOE Expectations for ESL.
