Confidence, accurate pronunciation and fluency when speaking are challenges for ELLs. Opportunities to practise listening and speaking are often secondary, thus our aim was to improve speech skills via direct practise in drama, ELD and ESL classes.

Having experienced success with Three-Act Math, we were interested in pursuing more time to research and create a teacher-friendly Resource of Three-Act Math and related online activities. This resource would align to the Ontario Math Curriculum.

Examine a variety of coding activities for Grade 4 to 8 students including hands-on, computer and robotics to expose students to the opportunities and determine grade-appropriate activities around problem-solving, math curriculum and robotics.

Assessment: Helping Transition French Immersion Students from Intermediate to Secondary
Student achievement was found to have improved when the students were able to reflect on their assessed pieces of work and use these reflections to guide them on subsequent tasks.
