Interactive, Inquiry-Based Applied Mathematics in 1:1 BYOD Environment

We experimented using 1:1 BYOD devices (tablets and laptops) with Wacom tablets to create inquiry and deep learning activities in Grade 9 applied mathematics. Teacher resources created, adapted or used to support this are shared freely.

iPad Integration in the Research and Inquiry Process

Using the inquiry process, we examined and tested many iPad apps. We facilitated trials during various inquiry tasks, then gathered student feedback. We generated recommendations based on the utility of apps examined for the inquiry process phases.

Thinking About Building on Students’ Prior Mathematical Knowledge
