Creating a PLC Within the Kindergarten Division Based on Implementing STEM/STEAM Activities Within Project-Based Learning
Our goal is to create a PLC to research/implement STEM activities and makerspaces into project-based learning in FDK to make learning more engaging, authentic and self-motivating for students and educators, and to share this learning with others.

Focusing on Spatial Reasoning in Kindergarten
Using playful pedagogy with open-ended tasks based on the resource Taking Shape, we saw our students develop greater spatial thinking abilities. We saw the gains reflected in further tasks, free play and everyday language.

Enhancing and improving our outdoor learning space to provide our kindergarten children with opportunities to connect with nature and to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the environment that they live in.

Coding in Kindergarten and its Impact on Mathematical and Literacy Development
The Coding in Kindergarten project highlights the importance of developmentally appropriate coding opportunities for our youngest learners in order to foster their spatial reasoning, estimation, numeracy, oral literacy and problem-solving skills.
