The goal of our project incorporated outdoor learning as part of our weekly timetables. The outdoors became natural extensions of our classrooms both in the urban and rural settings. Educators fostered deep connections to the natural world.

Using Technology to Enhance Communication and Critical-Thinking Skills in Kindergarten
Identifying various open-ended/content-creation iPad apps that enhance and develop students’ oral communication and critical-thinking skills at the kindergarten level. Students use these apps to document their learning and show their thinking.

Exploring Early Numeracy Through Inquiry
The Exploring Early Numeracy Through Inquiry project examined the development of early number concepts in K-2. We deepened our understanding of designing a mathematically rich environment to support exploration of number concepts at school and home.

Learning and Exploring Through Technology
This project took place in kindergarten classrooms and focused on increasing self-regulation skills with iPad technology. It allowed students to explore different inquiries both in the classroom and outdoor environment.
