In this session, participants will experience what planning a week for a problem-solving Math class
might include. Topics to be explored will include:
- 3-part lessons
- understanding the expectations
- anticipating student errors & misconceptions
- the balance between partner and independent work
- opportunities to build skill fluency
- assessment & feedback
Mary-Kay will share work from her Grade 8 students so that discussions will be rooted in theory but
focus on the practical.
