We developed a blended learning stations activity for the Grade 10 civics class. We used several digital platforms (Google, D2L, iPads, etc.) to engage students in discovering and investigating the question “What is a civic issue that I care about?”

Using an Action-Oriented Approach for Effective Communication in Secondary Core and Immersion French as a Second Language
Our group discussed listening skills and oral communication in FSL (French) by reading articles, gathering and trying various resources, incorporating technology where appropriate, and developing a document to annotate these strategies and resources.

Throughout this project we explored the use of Minecraft as a tool to get students talking in second language classrooms and to help improve language acquisition.
