Transportation Technology Grades 9 and 10 introduces participants to different modes of transportation and theories of power production such as those pertaining to gasoline, diesel, solar energy, electricity, and alternate and combination fuels. The course also provides an introduction to auto-body maintenance and repair. Participants experience opportunities to explore, through appropriate activities for grade 9 and 10 programs, the fundamental principles associated with maintaining, servicing, diagnosing, repairing, designing, and adapting components in a variety of vehicles. Instructional strategies, including co-operative learning, problem-solving, classroom management for a safe classroom, and evaluation of performance-based learning provide a focus for the development of learning modules and other instructional methods appropriate for broad-based and integrated technology programs. The course includes evaluation of candidates’ technical proficiency and safe use of tools and equipment in Transportation Technology. Please see website for additional information and updates.
