Special Education Specialist extends the knowledge and skills of Part 2 with a focus on application and leadership skills in the area of special education at the school, board and ministry levels. Teachers will complete the Ministry of Education’s Student Profile template and build on that profile information throughout the course to complete a variety of tasks. These tasks will reflect current legislation, be research based and involve using innovative approaches and programs. Teachers will gain insight as to the job skills required to work in the area of Special Education and learn about numerous resources that can be used in the classroom to support our students.
