Course Description

Special Education Part 2 aims to equip them with comprehensive knowledge and skills for fostering inclusive and culturally responsive classrooms in Ontario. It explores key concepts like Universal Design for Learning (UDL), wellness, intersectionality, and Culturally Responsive and Relevant Pedagogy (CRRP), focusing on special education policy and equity implications.Participants delve into exceptionalities and intersectional factors, gaining a deep understanding of diverse student needs and corresponding school supports. Emphasis is placed on teachers’ roles in facilitating smooth student transitions, promoting literacy, and implementing flexible assessment practices aligned with equity and inclusion principles.

1. OCT MEMBERSHIP showing completion of Part 1/ 2. CONFIRMATION OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE FORM Signed by a Supervisory Official* from your Board confirming that you have one year (194 days) of teaching experience since becoming a certified teacher.
