Course Description

This course will enable teachers to receive additional basic qualifications for the senior division in Religious Education. This course will include curriculum planning, teaching strategies, and assessment of learning experiences for the senior division.

Course normally offered in the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter sessions.

Prerequisites

1. General Certificate of Qualification and Registration (CQR) in Good Standing
2. An acceptable university degree or qualifications that the Registrar considers to be equivalent to such a degree
3. Applicants who do not hold a Senior qualification, a “B” average (70%) in a minimum of five full-year or equivalent university courses in Religious Studies are required. Of the five full courses, a minimum of three full courses must have a core Roman Catholic and/or Christian focus.

Applicants who already hold a Senior qualification, a minimum of two full-year or equivalent university courses in Religious Studies are required. Of the two full courses, a minimum of one full course must have a core Roman Catholic and/or Christian focus.
