Course Description

This course will enable teachers to receive additional basic qualifications for the senior division in Law. This course will include curriculum planning, teaching strategies, and assessment of learning experiences for the senior division.

Course normally offered in the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter sessions.

Prerequisites

  1. General Certificate of Qualification and Registration (CQR) in Good Standing
  2. An acceptable university degree or qualifications that the Registrar considers to be equivalent to such a degree
  3. Applicants who do not hold a Senior qualification, a “B” average (70%) in a minimum of five full-year or equivalent university courses in Law, Jurisprudence, and/or Criminology are required.

Applicants who already hold a Senior qualification, a minimum of two full-year or equivalent university courses in Law, Jurisprudence, and/or Criminology are required.

Courses from other departments that demonstrate a core basis in law, preferably criminal or civil law, may also be considered toward admission.
