The 2017 annual conference of the Ontario Association for Mathematics Education (OAME) will be occurring in Kingston, ON, on the second weekend of May, 2017. The conference theme, “And now for something completely different” is designed to elicit creative and exemplary presentations from a wide variety of presenters and topics. Our keynote speakers will be Dan Meyer (see his TED talk, “Math Class Needs a Makeover”), and Gail Vaz Oxlade, financial guru and TV personality. We will also be including a focus on FNMI education, with several of the sessions on this strand being available to remote communities via streaming.
