In the Senior Instrumental Music ABQ the teacher explores beginning woodwind, brass, percussion, string and guitar techniques and pedagogy as well as effective teaching and learning strategies suitable to the senior division. Teachers will gain a deeper working knowledge of the music curricula and ministry initiatives while exploring various learning theories and differentiated instruction in music. Activities will include: performance, conducting, listening, transposition/arranging, creativity in the music classroom, music of other cultures, music technology and exploring quality instrumental repertoire and resources as well as the opportunity to attend numerous workshops. Â

Must be registered with the Ontario College of Teachers or hold an interim Certificate of Qualification. Must hold an acceptable university degree or equivalent. It is no longer necessary to send in a copy of your Certificate of Qualification. We have access to this information via the OCT Public Registry. - 2 Full University Degree Credits in the Subject:Official transcript(s) showing proof of successful completion of a minimum of 2.0 university degree credits or the equivalent in the teaching subject.
