The Additional Qualification Kindergarten Specialist Course will engage you in creative, interactive, creative, and meaningful activities to expand your leadership capacity, extend and deepen your understanding and application of early-childhood development theories/approaches, and enhance your knowledge of effective practice for children aged 3.5-6 years. Focused on leadership issues and ideas related to outdoor learning environments, family involvement, collaboration, and mentoring in all areas of the Kindergarten program, the course will include weekly opportunities to connect via chat discussions with your professional learning community (PLC), hands-on challenges, knowledgeable guest speakers, virtual field trips, and practical assignments–each of which will support your own unique learning journey and provide resources for further exploration after completion of the course.
NOTE: The course serves to support the continuous professional learning needs of certified teachers and registered early childhood educators (ECEs).
