The Kindergarten – Part 1 – AQ is open to all teachers. You must have an interest or background in this area and a desire to extend and apply knowledge, skills and practices in the design, implementation, and assessment of the program. You will have an understanding the domains of development (for example, social, emotional, cognitive, linguistic, spiritual and physical) within the 0 to 8-year-old continuum, recognizing the interconnected process of development and the variability among children in progression along that continuum. As well, the course will focus on understanding the importance and integration of teaching strategies for young children that address their needs:
- Cognitively;
- Culturally;
- Emotionally;
- Linguistically;
- Physically;
- Socially; and
- Spiritually.
