This course provides candidates with a strong foundation and understanding of the vision and underlying philosophy related to Junior Education. The course is designed to support the development of skills and knowledge needed by teachers to explore, design, deliver and assess effective Junior Education programs and is based on the theory and practice related to the junior aged learner including their development, and learning needs.
Please note – if you are not qualified to teach in the junior division (grades 4 – 6) taking this course will NOT provide you with junior qualifications. This course is designed to assist those teachers already qualified to teach in the junior division to teach more effectively.
Prerequisites:
- Certificate of Qualification and Registration or Interim Certificate of Qualification and Registration (ICQR) or ICQR (Limited) with the Ontario College of Teachers
