These are exponential times and the study of English and Language Arts seems to be a necessary pursuit in order to better navigate the evolving educational landscape. Today, teachers and students have access to instant and limitless information while digital tools can extend learning well beyond the classroom walls. Educators discuss the importance of promoting a 21st century skill set that encourages students to develop as communicative, creative and collaborative critical thinkers. Consequently, the demands of classroom teachers expand exponentially as they try to harmonize new technologies with traditional text, software applications with reflective writing and reading.
Your presence in Intermediate English will provide opportunities to explore current research and initiatives in the teaching of Language Arts. Course material will refine your teaching methodology and ensure that the subject of English remains relevant to the lives of our students as we make our way through the 21st century.
