In this course, learners will explore important considerations for instruction and assessment when planning for instruction in the Intermediate grades, specifically connected to teaching an Intermediate Math Course (Grade 7 – 10).

This course includes examples from the most recent research to support student progress and learning. There will be an opportunity to engage with curriculum content, trying questions and examples that can be used in the classroom. Learners will develop and collaborate to create practical tools and strategies and leverage technology and evidence-informed practices to feel confident in supporting the Adolescent Learner.

The first part of the course explores research and resources grounded in understanding the Adolescent Learner. Participants are then able to apply this learning to exploration of math content and examples from the curriculum.
