In Technological Design 11/12, candidates explore the elements of design as they apply to the broad-based area of Technological Design. Candidates will design and develop prototypes for activities and projects employing technical elements such as electronics and CAD. Emphasis will be on curriculum design focusing on developing broad-based projects to integrate Technological Design with other broad-based technologies using a variety of design and problem solving processes. Instructional strategies, including cooperative learning, problem-solving, classroom management for a safe classroom, and evaluation of performance-based learning provide a focus for the development of learning modules and other instructional methods appropriate for broad-based and integrated technology programs. The course includes evaluation of participants’ technical proficiency and safe use of tools and equipment in Technological Design.
