In this course, you examine the important role of guidance and counselling in the school community, its benefits for students and teachers, and its contribution to decision-making by its various clienteles. Building upon your foundation from Part 1, you receive advanced instruction in the practice of guidance and counselling: theories of career development, career planning, career awareness, assessment tools, and the use of community resources. Relevant legal issues will be examined. You also explore your personal resources and skills as you map out an individual approach to counselling.
