This course further enhances your leadership and language teaching skills to develop yourself as an expert ESL teacher does. You focus on the issues that prepare specialists for leadership in their classrooms, schools and school systems: providing leadership to colleagues, the design and review of school-wide ESL programs, appropriate school organizations to support ESL programs, program implementation, evaluation and placement of students, support for students at risk, and mastery of a wider repertoire of advocacy skills. Part 3 consolidates the equity issues and teaching students from diverse backgrounds and abilities raised in the previous courses.
