Nurturing Confidence in Elementary Mathematics Students Through Inquiry

This session is an opportunity for junior and intermediate mathematics teachers to explore how they can “banish the ghost” of anxiety from their classrooms and support a growth-mindset both within their students and within themselves as mathematics educators. Using the Critical Thinking Consortium’s approach of “rigorous inquiry” in the mathematics classroom, this webinar will support teachers in a collaborative process of considering the research, instructional strategies, classroom ideas, and attitudes that nurture confidence and support achievement in elementary mathematics.
