Native Studies, Part 2, focuses on using a process of inquiry to delve deeper into theories for Indigenous epistemologies and the implications these theories have on teaching practices. Throughout the course, candidates will combine their knowledge of student development and learning with their understanding of interculturality to continue to craft a more inclusive pedagogical practice. Candidates will have an opportunity to reflect on and apply their learning, and to share their experiences. Application will be made through practical activities connected to community, land, and language. Candidates will enhance their professional practice and extend their knowledge and skills in providing opportunities for all students to learn about and be involved in histories and contemporary lives of Indigenous peoples.
