Through the theme: Exploring the Role of the Gallery in Art Education Practice, The Institute will focus on issues that are relevant to art educators in the fields of elementary, secondary, post-secondary, museum and gallery education and community art education. The Institute will include inspiring guest speakers from the art community reflecting on the opportunities and challenges for the field of Art Education, as well as hands on explorations at the AGO. Excursions to other galleries, including the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art, The Aga Khan Museum and Harbourfront’s Power Plant Art Gallery, will further enrich and broaden the scope of experience.
