In this session series, participants will investigate a variety of tools that can be used to support the math processes in a BYOD environment. BYOD environments pose challenges in choosing tools that work on all or many types of devices for little or no cost. Please join in this collaboration centred around high-yield digital tools for BYOD. Visit Jaclyn’s Math BYOD wiki.
Digital tools that may be addressed include:
- Session 1 (ClassFlow, Padlet, OneNote Class Notebook, Kahoot)
- Session 2 (PearDeck, Edmodo, GSP, Desmos, virtual manipulatives, image annotating, socrative)
- Session 3 (NearPod, Dan Meyer Problems, Educreations, Google Drive with equation editor and g(math) add-on 3D design, printing and thinking)
NOTE: Each session can be watched independent of the others.
Audience: Grades 4-12
