The purpose of this webinar is to introduce teachers, coaches and administrators to some easy and affordable technology that is enabling exciting learning opportunities for 21st century learners via the virtual learning environment. Platforms like Skype and Google are providing innovative ways to support teaching and learning. There will be an emphasis on Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants and how easily it can be used to the geography and science curriculum through speakers and virtual field trips. We’ll explore other resources for bringing the world into classrooms such as Google Cultural Institute and Earth Engine. At the end of this session, educators will walk away with the tools and resources needed to start taking down the walls of their classrooms.
