Stress Behaviour vs. Misbehaviour: Supporting students in becoming self-regulated learners

The Kindergarten Program, 2016 recognizes that self-regulation is central to a child’s capacity to learn.  In fact, one quarter of the kindergarten program is dedicated to helping students develop this essential skill.  But what is self-regulation? In this session participants will be introduced to Shanker Self-Reg® including:

  • The Five Steps Shanker Method® for Self-Regulation
  • The Five Domains of Stress
  • The Stress Response System
  • Understand the difference between misbehaviour and stress behaviour
