Fractions is just one of those topics which we as educators seem to fear. Furthermore, research suggests that “fractions” is an area that most adults struggle to understand. The question is why, and how do we teach fractions? Participants will work through various activities in fractions to better understand the developmental landscape of fractions. There will be an opportunity to observe students on video doing the same types of problems and a chance to engage in meaningful discussion around best practices concerning fractions. By the end of this webinar, participants will have a better understanding of fraction content, questions to ask their students and activities to try in the classroom.
