This webinar will demonstrate how to engage students in Global Collaborative projects. Through organizations such as iEARN, (International Education and Resource Network) and Taking It Global, classes have the opportunity to expand their walls to essentially create “classrooms without borders”. We will demonstrate how to join projects that will involve connections with classrooms throughout the globe where students truly learn with each other. We will show resources and student artifacts from Global Collaborative Learning Projects. Projects such as the Machinto Peace Project, My Hero, Art Miles, Teddy Bear, Bat Chen Learning Circle, Talking Peace Kites and the Christmas Card International Exchange will be highlighted. A short video will also be available for viewing that will highlight several students giving their reflections about their participation in projects. Participants will also be shown how to access materials and resources to support them in beginning collaborations. A free year membership to iEARN will be provided to all participants of this webinar.
