In this session participants clarify their understanding of engagement and explore how engaging learning experiences inspire students to learn how to learn. Participants discuss making student thinking visible, feedback, activating students as learning resources for one another and strategies for student self-assessment. Participants leave with ideas, strategies and digital tools for empowering students to take control of their own learning and assessment.
NOTE: Examples shared are from elementary but many of the ideas, strategies and digital tools can easily be adapted for secondary.
