Enhance Junior and Intermediate students’ understanding of geometry concepts through coding in Scratch (scratch.mit.edu). In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to code 2D shapes and other images. Debugging programs and unplugged activities will also be explored. Geometry and spatial reasoning curriculum expectations from grades 4 to 8 will be addressed. Prior coding experience is not needed, but there will be a variety of challenges to try if participants have previous experience with Scratch.
