In this course the elements of manufacturing and production will be explored as they apply to the broad-based area of Manufacturing Technology. Candidates will explore product development and design using basic machining and fabrication techniques of manufacturing. Emphasis will be on curriculum design focusing on developing activity-based projects that engage a variety of design and problem-solving processes. Instructional strategies, including cooperative learning, problem-solving, classroom management for a safe classroom, and evaluation of performance-based learning provide a focus for the development of learning modules and other instructional methods appropriate for broad-based and integrated technology programs. The course includes evaluation of participants’ technical proficiency in the safe use of tools and equipment in Manufacturing Technology. Visit website for additional information.
