For the past number of years, there have been many conversations about problem-solving in mathematics. In this session, educators will review the 3-part lesson plan and the appropriate use of open-ended questions. We will look at great resources from a variety of expert educators including Dan Meyer, Marian Small and Cathy Bruce. We will investigate the use of video, technology and real-world context to engage students in problem-solving. Participants will leave with a wealth of resources to support problem-solving in their classroom.
