Many classrooms, schools and boards are making a strong shift enabling students and teachers to leverage digital tools in classrooms, be it through a 1:1 initiative, board supplied resources, or BYOD. This movement in education allows teachers in many ways to completely rethink their classroom teaching strategies and move towards a paperless classroom. This session will examine what a shift to a digitally enabled, face-to-face classroom can look like – both practical applications for teachers and a discussion of the potential for a philosophical shift in how we look at student learning in a more blended model of education. In “going paperless”, a number of doors are opened for teachers to engage their students in a variety of new ways, making their own lives easier while offering opportunities to improve learning outcomes for their students.
