Course Description
Guidance & Career Education Part 1 provides educators with the tools to implement and assess guidance and career education programs effectively. Participants will learn strategies to meet diverse student needs, create inclusive learning environments, and collaborate with stakeholders for student success. The course emphasizes the role of the guidance teacher/counselor in supporting student development through partnerships with schools and communities.
Learner Outcomes
Apply theoretical understanding to effectively implement and assess Guidance and Career Education programs and practices.*Develop awareness and integrate strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, promoting their success.*Enhance understanding of holistic learning environments, including diversity, character development, equity, multiple intelligences, and differentiated instruction.*Explore strategies for collaboration with in-school personnel, parents/guardians, and the community to support student success.*Understand the role of the Guidance teacher/counsellor in collaborating with educational and community partners to support student development.
Prerequisites
OCT MEMBERSHIP with qualifications in Primary, Junior, Intermediate or Senior.
