OTF welcomes Ontario’s new Minister of Education @ToddSmithPC. OTF is looking forward to building a strong and positive relationship with Minister Smith.
Our publicly funded education system continues to face significant challenges stemming from chronic underfunding. It is our hope that this new Minister will acknowledge the immediate action the system requires to meet the needs and best interests of Ontario’s students and teachers now and in the future.
We need leadership that recognizes that a strong and successful publicly funded education system holds the key to a positive future for all Ontarians. We fervently hope that actively listening to, and authentically consulting with Ontario’s teachers and their Federations will be hallmarks of the new Minister’s approach to decision-making.
