Guidance and Career Education Part 2 enhances professional practice. The course extends, applies, and designs learning opportunities that reflect the knowledge and skills outlined in Guidance and Career Education Part 1.

Using an inquiry framework, the course also extends candidates professional learning and practice in:

  • Theoretical Foundations of Guidance and Career Education
  • Program Planning, Development and Implementation
  • Learning Environments and Instructional Strategies
  • Reflecting, Documenting and Interpreting Learning
  • Shared Responsibility for Learning
  • Research, Professional Learning and the Scholarship of Pedagogy

The assessment and evaluation strategies reflect effective, collaborative and inquiry-based practices.

This course is open to all elementary teachers or secondary teachers who have a basic qualification in general studies or technological studies. In addition teachers, must have taught at least 194 days and have Guidance and Career Education Part 1.
