Explore new resources from Elections Canada that support historical thinking and collaboration in your history classroom. We will look at two inquiry-based lessons. Voting Rights through Time engages students in thinking about continuity and change, turning points and issues of inclusion in electoral history since 1867. Civic Action: Then and Now involves students in historical case studies of civic action, giving them a model to analyze civic action, past or present. Together, we will explore these two lessons through reflection, discussion and sharing of best practices in historical thinking.
