This course emphasizes the importance of Health and Physical Education in the lives of Senior students (grades 11 and 12). Candidates will examine current and effective instructional strategies, equitable assessment practices and other Ministry of Education documents and resources relevant to teaching the 21st Century Learner in Health and Physical Education. Candidates will be given opportunities to collaborate and reflect with colleagues as well as learn through actively participating in an inclusive and cooperative learning environment.

- Certificate of Qualification:
Must be registered with the Ontario College of Teachers or hold an interim Certificate of Qualification. Must hold an acceptable university degree or equivalent. It is no longer necessary to send in a copy of your Certificate of Qualification. We have access to this information via the OCT Public Registry. - 2 Full University Degree Credits in the Subject:Official transcript(s) showing proof of successful completion of a minimum of 2.0 university degree credits in kinesiology or related subject.ORIntermediate Basic Qualification in Health and Physical Education in lieu of 2.0 university degree credits.Note: Relevant experience will no longer be accepted.
