Mathematics – Grades 7 and 8 is open to all elementary or secondary teachers who have a basic qualification in general studies who wish to deepen their pedagogical content knowledge regarding students in Grades 7 and 8 Mathematics. The AQ course is designed for teachers of Grades 7 and 8 mathematics to develop skills and knowledge in the design, delivery, programming, and assessment of students in Grades 7 and 8 mathematics.

Participants will deepen their pedagogical content knowledge in mathematics through sustained, collaborative inquiry into current practice, research, curriculum, resources, and detailed analysis of classroom teaching/learning. This course brings the significant insights we have gained through research and practice of both student and teacher learning into a coherent teacher learning experience that will transform the thinking and practice of participants
