Building relationships and supporting self-regulation are woven through the entire new kindergarten program document.  Research shows that relationships and the emotional component of learning is powerful.  The power of our relationships is also linked to the richness of our assessment and knowing our children deeply, both as learners and as people.  There are also many ways that we can build relationships through our programming.  We know that children who feel comfortable and welcome at school discover that spark and love of learning.
