Need to find some added training in your teaching area? Then OTF is your source. OTF offers professional learning programs, which provide training, resources, and support in numerous areas. The project, funded by the Ministry of Education, has hosted a number of very successful conferences such as “Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century", "Media Violence" and "Critical Thinking." In addition, OTF ran the successful Summer Programs and developed such supports as the PD calendar and on-line resources. OTF publishes an electronic Professional Learning newsletter which is hosted on the OTF website and distributed electronically to teachers. These activities, as well as numerous others, have made the professional learning project the place for teachers to go for professional and classroom support.

OTF continues to offer professional learning opportunities through OTF’s Online Teacher Resources and OTF Connects. Now available on our website, OTF’s Online Teacher Resource is a portal to a multitude of resource links as well as the extensive, searchable Lesson Plan Resource. Our new online community, OTF Connects, brings teachers together to share and learn through online webinars and social media. These excellent, ready-to-use, professional learning opportunities provide ongoing support throughout the year, in ways that work for you.
