Support the environment through
art and community
OTF/PIF Environmental Film Festival has proven to be a creative way to engage both students and the community in raising environmental awareness. OTF, in partnership with Planet in Focus (PIF), assisted many schools in hosting hugely successful environmental film festivals in communities across the province. Selected teams established dynamic, interactive and impressive events, which actively engaged and united teachers, students, businesses and the community around the fundamental issues of environmental sustainability.
This year, OTF encourages teachers to host their own Environmental Film Festival in their school community, supported directly by Planet in Focus’ school program. The PIF School Touring Program inspires environmental leadership and education by allowing elementary and secondary school teachers and students to run their own school and community-based environmental film festival.
Planet in Focus will work with you and your school team to design a film festival that is right for your school and provide access to films that address Environmental Education. If you are interested in hosting your own environmental film festival, please email PIF at touringprogram@planetinfocus.org to obtain more information. They will get back to you to discuss the details and cost of your environmental film festival.
If you are interested in hosting an environmental film festival, please feel free to use the following resources:
